Isaiah 54 Company
We also have a heart for women who have been cast aside by their husbands.
God speaks up for them in so many ways, the most profound being in Isaiah 54.
Isaiah 54 Company
"A Healing Place for women who have been shamed, rejected, cast off and forsaken."
This ministry was conceived in faith that works through love. It isn't just a ministry, it is a lifestyle which flows out of the heart of God. He provides a safe place for women to give and receive Godly counsel and encouragement. He is restoring double honour for all the shame His beloved daughters have suffered.
Why "Isaiah 54 Company?" Toward the end of the summer of 2007, I started seeing the words, "ISAIAH 54 COMPANY" from time to time. After about 3 weeks, I realized that God was trying to show me something. Isaiah 54 is a chapter concerning Israel as God's wife, but it is also a chapter for women who have suffered much shame and rejection through barrenness, widowhood and divorce.
I am an Isaiah 54 Woman myself. I lost my beloved husband of 30+ years in 2002. Although I have always had a heart for Isaiah 54 Women, I was given the challenge of living it and seeing God's wonder full role as my true and faithful husband both now and for all eternity.
After a year of death, and dying of a broken heart, on October 10, 2003, Jesus did what I affectionately call a 3 hour "open heart surgery" on me. From that day forward, I knew I was going to live. He has given me new life, new purpose, and a place of honour at His side, even at His right hand - His victorious right hand! Therefore, out of the ashes of despair, a new ministry was conceived. It is upon this premise that we present to you Isaiah 54 Company. The founding scriptures are:
Isaiah 54:4-6 * 61:7-8 * Psalm 68:11-12 * Luke 1:45 * James 1:27
Isaiah 54:4-8 … "Fear not, for you will not be put to shame; and do not feel humiliated, for you will not be disgraced; But you will forget the shame of your youth, and the reproach of your widowhood you will remember no more. "For your husband is your Maker, Whose name is the LORD of hosts; And your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel, Who is called the God of all the earth. "For the LORD has called you, like a wife forsaken and grieved in spirit, even like a wife of one's youth when she is rejected,” Says your God. NASB
Isaiah 61:7-8 … “Instead of your shame you shall have double honour, And instead of confusion they shall rejoice in their portion. Therefore in their land they shall possess double; Everlasting joy shall be theirs. “ For I, the LORD, love justice; I hate robbery for burnt offering; I will direct their work in truth, and will make with them an everlasting covenant.” NKJ
Psalm 68:11-12 … The Lord gave the command; a great company of women brought the good news:
"The kings of the armies flee—they flee!" She who stays at home divides the spoil. HCSB
Luke 1:45 Blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord. NIV
Proverbs 31:30-31 ... Favour is deceitful, and beauty is passing; but a woman that fears the Lord, she shall be praised. Give her the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates. NKJ
James 1:27 … Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world. NIV
We have helped many women who've lost their husbands, yet so much more needs to be done. So often they are treated as an outcast. Sometimes there is such shame that they are embarrassed to ask for help, living in a state of withdrawal and often forgotten or ignored. Their pain can be so great, that even family, friends and church are unable to "stand" with them. If divorced, many are made to feel it was all their fault causing them to live under a cloud of false accusation and condemnation.
I can assure you, Jesus knows your pain for He too suffered the same! His own people rejected Him. Many still do to this day!
"He was despised and rejected—a man of sorrows, acquainted with deepest grief. We turned our backs on Him and looked the other way.He was despised, and we did not care. Yet it was our weaknesses He carried; it was our sorrows that weighed Him down."
“The beloved of the LORD shall dwell in safety by Him, Who shelters him/her all the day long; and he/she shall dwell, rest, tabernacle between His shoulders.” Deuteronomy 33:12
Isaiah 62:4 "You shall no more be termed Forsaken, nor shall your land be called Desolate any more. But you shall be called Hephzibah [My delight is in her], and your land be called Beulah [married]; for the Lord delights in you, and your land shall be married [owned and protected by the Lord]."
As I was meditating on these passages, I did a study on the word, widowhood (Strong's H491). Strong's Concordance shows that the root word (Strong's H488) for widowhood includes the "discarded (as a divorced person): - forsaken."
Hence, taking care of the widows and the orphans includes taking care of the women in our communities who have been abandoned by their husbands. This often means that the children are without their father, hence 'orphans' themselves. God is calling His people to seek out, and reach out, to the many women and children throughout the nations.
We are ready to listen, encourage and pray for your complete restoration.
In the Bible, God always gives back double, and better than what we have lost!
The greatest poverty group in America is single mothers. The fastest growing poverty group is elderly women. To take a young homeless mother and her two babies grocery shopping is around $100 in California. Jesus loves to feed the hungry. We are believing for the multiplication of the loaves and the fishes. So much need, but such a joy to bring His love and encouragement in such practical ways. You are loved and accepted in the Beloved.
I "see" a great company of women who have been touched by the love and provision of Jesus Christ, bearing the good news of His salvation, healing and provision. God has promised me that they will become a GREAT COMPANY of women who will proclaim the Word of the Lord! What man has thrown away, God Himself sees as precious treasure!
We are also believing for the souls of the men who have walked away from their families; many did not "keep themselves from being polluted by the world." Nothing, absolutely nothing is impossible with God. He is able to do exceedingly abundantly far far above all we could ever ask or think! This includes the complete resurrection and restoration of families because Jesus died for RECONCILIATION so that none would perish! Nothing, absolutely nothing is too hard for God. Will you stand with us?
For those women whose marriages are in trouble, or they have already lost their covenant husband to divorce, we highly recommend to you Rejoice Marriage Ministries for encouragement, teaching and standing in faith for their return to God, family and destiny.
James 1:27 ... "Pure and undefiled religion before our God and Father is this:
to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself unstained by the world."
